The question about past GUADEC budgets came up at the GUADEC Event
Committee meeting yesterday.

For those considering submitting a bid for 2012 GUADEC, you might find
looking at past GUADEC budgets helpful to understand what can be
involved.

Obviously factors like whether the venue is free or not, or whether
event organizer fees are a part of the bid can make the bids vary in
cost.  Bids are picked based on overall merit, and not strictly on
factors like cost.  One very important factor is having a strong and
committed team of GNOME community volunteers on the ground at the event
location.
