First, you can see the implementation we made on last GUADEC at :

Last year we had no limited bandwidth ( as we had Gbyte inet connection
at the university ) but we studied last year network usage and we had
maximums of 13 MB, so I hope that with 8 will be enough. Here you must
think about the streaming bandwidth. Is this year going to be streaming
again ? As number of people the maximum was arround 80 persons at the
same time.
> * what hardware would be required, access points, routers, etc
We normally use linksys wrt54g and buffallo for the Acces points and
WRAP/ALIX/ROUTERBOARDS as the routers. Last year we made a list of
material :
* 4 WRAP + 8 CM9
* 22 Linksys WRT54G
* boxes, cables, ... other material
Gil can explain more about the dubget
We normally use voyage-linux for router and openwrt on linksys. We can
reuse all the configuration and software ( monitoring, load balancing
... ) we developed last year.
> * can you do mesh network or do you require cabled network points around the venue
We have expertise on OLSR usage as we have a big nerwork using this mesh
protocol and we can think about using it on GUADEC. On Linksy wrt54g its
possible to use freifunk that is usefull for big/fast deployments.

Yea, we can deploy a great system!
Some questions :
* Can you host us during the conference days ?
* Do you have money for buying material ?
* Do you have a map to explain the situation off all the places that
should have wireless network?
If you can host us we can come to help on deploying the infraestructure.
About the material we can make a list of needed material if we can
imagine the place.
