[guadec-list] GUADEC press release (late Beta)

Dear all,
	A press-release announcing GUADEC has been developed in conjunction
with marketing-list, and is to be accompanied by a "press pack".  All
will be available from www.guadec.org/press at the anointed time of
Monday (or Tuesday) next week.

I don't see much changing with it between now and Monday.  However, if
you have an issue, please email me.

The release will be made via the usual channels of spamming the correct
mailboxes within media outlets (this is generally accepted practice).
Special attention will be given to the technology sections of local and
national newspapers.  Special attention is to mean that they will get a
more directed email "Hey Ms Reporter, lookey here" and will get contact
phone numbers for myself and Thos.  And, some will receive follow-up
calls.  We, at this stage, know who our national target group are.

I have a request of Birmingham folk.  Could you send me the contact
details for local newspapers in the city and surrounds?  I'm
particularly interested in any city-wide paper that runs a technology
section.
