Hi Murray,

A mailing list is always the best place for this stuff. Has this all
been resolved now?
Well, I was asking Nat to do something, didn't feel appropriate to have
that on the list.

One other question. I want to organize a hackfest at guadec around
Matthew Thomas's awesome UI feedback. How can I do that? Where can we
find space for the hackfest? I know nothing about the current guadec
plans. When would be a good time for this?
There will be a hackcenter, but I really have not had anything to do
with infrastructure so far. Murray Cumming (CCed) would be a good man to
ask.
This hasn't been sorted. Could you (or someone else) let us know what
facilities we can expect in the hackcenter? Number of machines, what'll
be installed, etc. Will they have a GNOME development environment on
there? What are we using? LTSP?
I suggest doing it Sunday or Tuesday. Monday might be good, but I have
high hopes that if we don't plan anything that people will organise
themselves (your proposition could be considered self-organisation, of
course). Pick a time period when you think that most of the interested
parties won't be doing presentations or particularly interested in
attending them. Consider hang-overs Tuesday morning.
The time for a hackfest is also completely open to discussion. It's
likely that only a small percentage (say 20 or 30 people) will want to
take part in a hackfest, so perhaps Sunday afternoon, Monday morning
would be the least disruptive time-slot (we want all the hackers
brainstorming Monday afternoon, I suppose).
Cheers,
Dave.
