As Hub said in another related thread, it's best to ask the maintainers,
but if you install the following packages (you and I coincidentally are
running the same distro), and use the examples found in the "Examples"
link from the /usr/share/doc/libgtkglextmm-x11-1.2-doc/html/index.html
page, you may have different results:

libgtkglextmm-x11-1.2-0, libgtkglextmm-x11-1.2-dev,
libgtkglextmm-x11-1.2-doc.
