Image display widget

Folks,

I am trying to find a widget for displaying an image that I can use with gtkmm. I've found two widgets, gtk-image-viewer and GTKImageView. The first definitely doesn't have a gtkmm wrapper. I found some discussion about the possibility of making a wrapper for the second, but its not clear that this was ever done. 

I am new to GTK and gtkmm. Is there a generic way of wrapping a GTKWidget so that it can be added to a container such as Gtk::ScrolledWindow?
