A destroy function on a ref-counted instance is very odd. I can't see how we
could make that make sense for C++ or most other higher-level language
bindings.

Is there no other way to explicitly "detach" it? I guess there should be.

The only solution to this I see at the moment would be to provide no argument
Gst::init() and Gst::init_check() methods (by overriding) and make it clear in
the docs that some form of Gst::init* should be used to initialize gstreamermm.

apparently goocanvasmm 0.6 requires goocanvas 0.10, but the configure say it
needs 0.8
