drawing text with Cairo

Hello,

I am making a custom widget in my application and I need to draw numbers on
it.  I am using a DrawingArea and I do most of the drawing with Cairo.  I
was wondering what the simplest way is to draw a number.  The number is not
editable, just has to be there.
