Hey, looks really great! But I created all my GUI's with glade and
libglade(mm). Are there some reasons for me to use gideon in future?
What are the differences between gideon and glade and why did you
develop this application? Do some advertising for your
application :-P
Hi, Andreas,
I think this post answers your questions:
http://groups.google.com/group/gideon-designer/tree/browse_frm/thread/e9daff12a9700fe5/5180c62e7d3eb5d6?rnum=1&_done=%2Fgroup%2Fgideon-designer%2Fbrowse_frm%2Fthread%2Fe9daff12a9700fe5%2Fa7350209a11d26fe%3F#doc_a7350209a11d26fe
Yes, thanks. I try to compile it in Gentoo. Do you propose gtkmm-2.6 or
2.8 with gideon? Is there any difference? And if I create a GUI which
gtkmm version do I (other people) need to compile my app?
Gideon depends on gtkmm 2.6, gnome-vfs and gconf, the same dependecies
are for client apps. I suggest to use the latest available versions.
But bad luck, I created a big GUI with glade. Now I've no time to
convert the GUI and all source code to gideon. Are there any converter
scripts or glade->gideon migration docs?
regards
Andreas
No docs at all for the time being. Don't switch if you are not sure;
glade is stable, gideon is not (yet).
Maxim
