As I understand it, there was no decision, that GNOME 2.12 will make use
of GTK+ 2.{7,8} (glib 2.{7,8} seems to be fine) and until now none of
the GNOME-2.11 apps (that are to be shipped) are using bits of GTK+
2.{7,8}.
