It also just occurred to me that this situation may change with the next
GTK+ release, an anouncement was made lately that the development version of
GTK+ now depends on Cairo, I think this is organised like so;

Gtk+	-> Cairo	-> X11/XRender
			-> OpenGL
			-> GDI+ ?

So the idea is to have multiple back ends.

It might be the case that the instability complaints disappear with this
change, assuming the Cairo port to Windows is good quality.

Food for thought anyway.

commercial programs on Windows.) The stability seems to depend a lot on

Can any of the list members confirm this? I was hoping to use Gtkmm to
develop both Linux and Windows apps.
