[gtkmm] Need help with setting widget theme/styles

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows or has any examples of
how to assign/set themes and styles to a gtkmm2
widget.  I know that a desktop theme applies globally
but what I would like to do is have the settings apply
only to the widget application itself (if possible). 
I am especially interested in being able to set window
border themes independently from the desktop theme. 
According to the API documentation it looks like the
GTK::RC class should be used, but I'm not sure (no
description on class methods).  Any help on this would
be greatly appreciated.
