No modification to the gtk+ binaries on win32 or to the gtk+-2.0 source is 
required.

Gtkmm-1.3.x on win32 has basically the same stability as the "gtk+ on 
win32" library it wraps. The stability of gtk+ on win32 has been much 
improved since version 2.0 was released.
