[GtkGLExt] something about gtkglext and glut

Hi list,
I'm new here.
I know gtkglext is the opengl extension for gtk+ while glut is for x
window.
Then,in a gtk+ application,can glut function be used? Or I mean glut
could take the place of gtkglext?
