Just summing up the state of gtkdatabox at this fork in the road....
a] Release 0.9.2.0 is complete and up on sf.
b] I have branched GTK2 from master... as mentioned below... also
suggested to be a good idea by others.
From here we need to decide how to proceed ...
Lars, Joaquín and I have suggested a few ideas ...
Start developing GTK3 on the main trunk ...
Keep developing GTK3 in the cairo-alpha branch ...
Does anyone have anything to add ?
Without wishing to squash anyone's suggestions, the best approach
currently seems to be to merge cairo-alpha into the main trunk ... and
keep developing from there ... however, now is the time to speak and
persuade if that is not the case.
Keep in mind that some embedded systems will require GTK2 to keep
functioning ... such as openembedded, as they are currently only using
GTK2 and that is what the GTK2 branch can be used for.

Hi everyone,
There is more movement towards GTK3, and more people are starting to
work on this.
For this reason, I am starting to set the ball in motion to release
the main development trunk specifically for GTK3 development.
As part of this process, I will start a GTK2 branch and make a new
release of gtkdatabox which is a capture of our current trunk.
Hold tight ... we have started to set the machine in motion !
