With this, ExtUtils::MakeMaker tells you that it was unable to find the
cairo library. That's probably the reason you need to hand-edit the
linker lines in the Makefile.
What could I look at changing so that it can find the libraries it
needs? I got Gtk2::GladeXML working last night (runs the demos), but
it's basically the same process I outlined previously, but I add even
more import libraries to the Makefile by hand.
Gnome2::Canvas is going to be even worse (I downloaded 3 or 4 new C
library zipfiles last night just for it), but someone requested it, so
I thought I'll try it :)
