Looks like it's something like this: dSP refers to PL_stack_sp:
#define dSP register SV **sp = PL_stack_sp
And PL_stack_sp seems to involve a function call:
#define PL_stack_sp (*Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr(aTHX))
That shouldn't be a problem, though, because it's on the right hand
side of a variable declaration. Hrm.
