The gtk2-perl API is similar enough to the C API that you can read the
official GtkTreeView tutorial at:

  http://scentric.net/tutorial/

and translating it into Perl.  If someone feels brave enough can write a
small Gtk2::TreeView::Cookbook module based on that; or even a chapter
in the gtk2-perl tutorial.
