I have been bringing my Gtk2/Gnome2 perl environment up to date, and was
building the Gnome2 package last night when I ran into the following
error while doing make test:
t/GnomeIconList..........ok 12/12*** glibc detected *** corrupted
double-linked list: 0x08f9fbd8 ***
This seems to be a huge oops! I noticed there was a more recent glibc,
so I did a yum update to glibc-2.3.4.2 (along with the devel packages,
etc.)
System: AMD K6, 450 Mhz, 256MB RAM, Red Hat Fedora Core 3
(incrementally applying updates -- I'm on a slow dial-up line).
Has anyone else seen this, and what might be the fix? The list
corruption occurred with both glibc-2.3.3 and glibc-2.3.4.
FWIW, I've been installing the perl modules in my own private directory.
And I'm still using Glib-1.062 (getting 1.080 now).
Any advice?
