Writing some panel apps in gtk2-perl or gnome2-perl ?

Hi. Sorry for too many simple questions :) But 

Anyone has got any reference or api or some links or example for this panel 
applet writing in gtk2-perl or gnome2-perl ? What i need ? just the gnome2 
modul ?? How can i write some applets that workis in kde too ? or it's 
impossible ?

Some links will be very usefull.
