gtk2-perl-xs on Mandrake?

Anyone know of a way to run gtk2-perl-xs on Mandrake Linux? I'm sure all
the Mandrake tools would crash and burn if it simply replaced
gtk2-perl-inline with gtk2-perl-xs, so I'm hoping someone might have
some hints to avoid this.
