This should read:

sorry, it did. i went through and put 'names' on the tests when i was
figuring out what was hanging. the name in no way affects the outcome.

?

playing around for a few mins this doesn't seem to be the bindings fault as it
makes it into this (trivially wrapped) function without problems.

Sounds strange. On Debian unstable I've recently updated libgnomeprint*
from 2.4.0 to 2.4.2, but I've never had this error. Maybe there's
something with the libgnomeprint* packages as they are rolled by Fedora.
I'll look into it, as much as I can, not having a Fedora available.

it's not the bindings so i don't know that i would worry about it too
much. especially if you didn't/haven't seen it when you were running
2.4.0.

if you really want to i can give you access to a fedora box, my dummy
quad-boot box.
