call for FAQ topics and content

want to chip in, but only have a few minutes to spare, or perhaps you
want to use this opportunity to ask a question (in the form of a topic
suggestion) that everyone would make fun of you for under normal
circumstances. 

this is a request for topics for a gtk2-perl-xs FAQ. if you really want
to be helpful you can propose a question and supply the answer. 
legal topics include anything directly related to gtk2-perl-xs, gtk2,
tips and tricks for gui programming, and/or perl tricks/magic (have to
be related to gtk-perl-xs.) think back to what it took you forever to
figure out, to things you couldn't find information on no matter how
hard you looked, or things you figured out that you want the rest of the
world to know.

preferably reply to the list so that discussion can ensue. if you'd
prefer not to post to the list send them to me. also please state
whether you want credit for posing the question/answer. if you don't say
so i'll assume that you don't. 

other topics will come from questions and discussions on this list.
