Just a beginning developer here, but from a learning point of view, I
would like to see it kept as much like GTK+ as possible. Unless there
are some *very* dedicated documenters and excellent documentation, this
would have confused me greatly (I'm only using GTK+-1 at the moment).
I've been using the C API documentation very heavily.
I agree on that. The reasons for changing such a thing from the
C-version should be _very_ compelling in order to motivate a change that
absolutely will confuse a lot of people. Even with stellar documentation
and free stickers to all developers reminding them of this change,
people will do it wrong and will get frustrated as a result.
