Can't make loaded symbols global on this platform

OpenBSD 2.7 with perl 5.6.0, gtk 1.2.8 and gtk-perl 0.7003

I'm not sure if I should call this an
error/exception/warning/etc.. dynloader.pm is loading
Gtk::Gtk.so and warns [or Gtk.so warns] 'Can't make loaded
symbols global on this platform' The platform being openbsd
2.7 - the program continues to run fine - anyone know how
to fix or simply hide this?

bash-2.04$ gtkportfolio
' while loading
/usr/local/libdata/perl5/site_perl/i386-openbsd/auto/Gtk/Gt
k.so at /usr/libdata/perl5/i386-openbsd/5.6.0/DynaLoader.pm
line 200.
