This morning when I tried to build I got the following error

When I tried to unpack /Users/pete/gtk/source/pkgs/gtk+-2.24.9.tar.xz myself I got
$ tar -xf gtk+-2.24.9.tar.xz
tar: Unrecognized archive format: Inappropriate file type or format
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.
This was working fine with the earlier version of gtk-osx.modules
Sorry, I should have announced this sooner.
Gnome has dropped the bz2 and gz compression methods in favor of xz. This requires a new tool, xzip, which is now provided by the bootstrap.modules for gtk-osx. To get it, run
gtk-osx-build-setup.sh
jhbuild bootstrap
after which you can run your build.
Regards,
John Ralls
Thanks for that John. Now working fine.
