'select qif file to load' window pops up after successfully select the right file with your instruction - a big thanks -. when i hit select, window pops up that says 'file not found or read permission denied. pls select another file.' thanks so much.

In the lower right corner, just above the "Import" button you'll find a listbox with two choices: *.qif and All Files. Your qif files apparently don't have a .qif extension, so select All Files and they should display.
