Thanks.  I'd like to keep everything together with Gtk+ version detection. I suppose that if you knew of an m4 macro for that you would have used it. I'll see what I can find.

If the issue is with gtk+ (or any other Gnome package), then you should report bugs on bugzilla. AFAIK, none of the Gtk+ devs even look at Gtk-OSX's tracker.
