Is there a way to start with hidden files visibility turned on?
There's a "show-hidden" property on GtkFileChooserInterface. I can't tell off the top of my head which object implements that interface (probably the dialog itself), but if you use g_object_set () to set it before opening the dialog, it might have the desired effect.
