Except if there are other factors to consider, it seems to work fine here
with 3.4.4. I do however still use cairo-1.10.2 (1.12.2 is still very flaky on
win32), but with below patches - I have not tested without, so not sure
if any of them fixes it if you are also still using 1.10.2.
