Make sure you have localhost defined correctly in /etc/hosts

I'm running gnome on a development board, and find gtk based programs response poorly when connects to net. I've tried another qt-based application, it works fine.

Steps to reproduce:

1. start X: X

2. export DISPLAY=:0 && firefox-4.0

3. set IP and add gateway

After adds gateway, clicks on menu bar have no response for a while.

Any idea?
