What happened to Glib 2.26?

Forgive me  if this  is something  I should know,  but I  am wondering
where Glib 2.26 is?  Google  finds lots of postings from mailing lists
saying  it was  to  be released  on  September 10,  and then  nothing.
Meanwhile http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/glib/  lists 2.25 and
2.27 but no 2.26 .  So when is it coming?

(NB: I build  from source so I am only  interested in source releases.
It's irrelevant to me when the binary packages come out.)
