That might not be sufficient, as pkg-config would continue search
in /usr/lib/pkgconfig. You'll have to give some sysroot prefix 
($PKG_CONFIG_SYSROOT_DIR).

Again, you _most likely_ want to use a sysroot'ed toolchain,
everything else means *a lot* unnecessary hassle.
