First, you should have said you compile it as C++. Second, it is not
clear what you do: there is no `protected' in gtkbindings.h (at least
not in the current version); most likely some identifier that occurs in
gtkbindings.h was #defined to something weird in another header. But
only you can find out what, why and where in the other headers you
include.
