GTK on Mac OS X 10.4

I have a PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X 10.4.8.

I have installed Mac's development environment Xcode Tools.

What would I need to do to get GTK+2.0 built? Can I simply follow
the install for UNIX like systems and then I am good to go?
