As an alternative, you might want to look at installing the RPMs from the development tree, which already has: cairo-1.0.0-1 glib2-2.8.1-1 atk-1.10.3-1 pango-1.10.0-1 gtk2-2.8.3-1 (And corresponding -devel RPMs, of course)
