Umm, heh, that's one of the differences, recoloring isn't supported.
You can see the supported  identifiers in src/sapwood-rc-style.c file.
I'm terrible at documenting things, there is no document listing the
differences, but I *think* scaling vs. tiling + recoloring are the
ones.
