Its quite simple really,
    I work on jukeboxes (touchtunes.com); we simply write the UI code and when something needs
to be done a little differently, GtkScale on a touchscreen for example, we write some custom code,
no need to modify GTK+, its all OO so you can just derive/modify object behaviour at your lesure,
you can even glade your phones and there customized widgets :)
