Good Day
My name is Roman Posadas and I am from Mexico City. I
have been trying to install some software that needs
gtk.
I have been trying to install gtk but I am never
successful. I always get one message.
The last try was next..
I installed glib-2.6.4. and everything was right. Then
I tryed to install pango 1.8.1 and after I wrote
./configure I see this:
checking for glib-2.0 >= 2.5.7 gobject-2.0
gmodule-no-export-2.0... Requested 'g lib-2.0 >=
2.5.7' but version of GLib is 2.4.7
configure: error:
*** Glib 2.5.7 or better is required. The latest
version of
*** Glib is always available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/.
I thought glib was already installed.
Before this try I installed gtk+-2.4.9. I thought
everything was fine...but when I tryed to install the
software i got this:
checking for gtk-config... no
checking for GTK - version >= 1.0.0... no
*** The gtk-config script installed by GTK could not
be found
*** If GTK was installed in PREFIX, make sure
PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GTK_CONFIG environment
variable to the
*** full path to gtk-config.
configure: WARNING: NMAPFE WILL NOT BE BUILT -- BUT
NMAP SHOULD STILL WORK
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
You can even see here what is the software I am trying
to install.
I will apreciate any answer to this problem
Thank you.
