RE: Compiling gtk error - png ???

Hello all,

I have exactly the same problem as Jose Marcio Martins
da Cruz posted on Tue, 18 Mar 2003 while compiling GTK
under Solairs 8 myself.
It fails with the error:

My configure options do not talk about static or
dynamic library, I just tried "./configure
--prefix=...", with the following variable set:

Everything works fine while configuring, just this
blocking point while "make"ing...

Any help would be appreciated.
I searched the web for any idea about this error,
found many people talking about that, but no solution
found.
