Cannot compile libpangox

 I download gtk tarball and other tarballs to install gtk.
After install the other tarballs, I started to compile gtk.
When I enter "./configure", it says cannot find libpangox.
I found the pango tarball I downloaded donot compile libpangox(not libpango).
I don't know how to compile libpangox.
