Sorry for my poor english (i'm french)

I've just upgraded my Mandrake 8.2 to 9.0.
When I want to install a RPM archive (D4X) an error message tell me that
I've the wrong version of GTK (1.2.10) instead of the 2.0.6.
But the 2.0.6 is installed on my system... and the 1.2.10 too !!!

How can my system recognize the v2.0.6 version ?

Gnome 2 runs whith no errors !!
Use 'rpm -qp <your package name>.rpm --requires' and see what it
really need. You could install gtk from the sources in this case some
packages will not recognize it (for example some packages in RedHat
looks for gtk2 package installed, not for libraries).
Anyway, you always can try 'rpm -ivh <your package name>.rpm --nodeps'
to install package without deps checking.

If nothing helps, send 'rpm -qp <your package name>.rpm --requires' output
and some words about the way you installed gtk.
