movable/distinct menu bars... how do this?

I've noticed that many games in Gnome
have distinct looking menu bars that can be moved around to
different positions....

My GtkItemFactory menu bar is flat and
looks different than these.....

How can I make my menu bar look like these
Gnome games's menu bars instead of looking
flat? (I just put it in a vbox.)
