Problems compiling Glib 2.0.4 under cygwin

I'm trying to compile Glib2 under cygwin, configure is running fine but its failing when I run make. It throws out a lot of undefined reference errors, then says the error was with

I used the following line to configure make,

CFLAGS=-O2 CPPFLAGS='-I/usr/include' LDFLAGS='-L/usr/lib' ./configure --disable-static --prefix=/usr --enable-maintainer-mode

Just before through the undefined reference errors make complains about not being able to find (output below)

Is it possible to compile glib under cygwin, and if so what should I be doing for this to work?

Any help appreciated
