Problems compiling Glib 2.0.4 under cygwin

Hi,

I'm trying to compile Glib2 under cygwin, configure is running fine but 
its failing when I run make. It throws out a lot of undefined reference 
errors, then says the error was with libgobject-2.0.la.

I used the following line to configure make,

CFLAGS=-O2 CPPFLAGS='-I/usr/include' LDFLAGS='-L/usr/lib' ./configure 
--disable-static --prefix=/usr --enable-maintainer-mode

Just before through the undefined reference errors make complains about 
not being able to find libglib-2.0.la (output below)

Is it possible to compile glib under cygwin, and if so what should I be 
doing for this to work?
