I know what he's asking for.  I used to use a basic editor for the
macintosh called FutureBasic that highlight all the macintosh system calls
as well as the reserved words.

Try glimmer.  It seems to highlight certain gtk+ calls.  Or at least it is
intelligent to recognize macros and highlight those.  Also, gide support
two or three scripting languages to customize highlighting.  That would
probably be the easiest way to get what you want.  And if you write a
script to do that yourself, don't forget to release it; I think I might be
interested in such a feature.
