picking up resize events

Hi people,

this in PHP-GTK, but I'm advised to try here.

I have a window packed with items (in a GtkPacker).  The items are sized relative to the gdkwindow behind the parent window.  However, if I then (as a user) resize the parent window, the children retain their original size.  I don't want them to do this, so how do I get them to pick up on the new size of the parent window & redraw?
