about dialog

Hi,

    I try to use a dialog widget to confirm quit when user clicks the "Exit"
button in the main window.

    When the dialog shows ( use gtk_widget_show_all() call ), the main
window will disappear!

    How can I show the main window if user clicks the "Cancel" button in
the dialog ??

    Is there any sample code that I can learn how to use dialog more detail
than the turtorial in www.gnome.org ??
