Scrollbars

Hello,

I'm designing a kiosk using GTK - meant to be used with a touch screen - 
and I have a few questions... Is there any way to make the scrollbars 
wider? The ones in the default theme are great if you have a mouse, but 
on a touch screen, it gets dicey.

One other question... if I wanted to make a button change colors, can I 
use the standard button widget, or do I have to make my own widget?
