Ehm, this may be obvious, but if you set one of them you *must* set
the other, otherwise there will always be a theme where your text ends
up the same colour as the background. I've seen this in at least a
couple of apps (and ms windows suffers from it too; its dialog boxes
always have a light grey background so colour schemes with light text
are impossible).
