You'll find the latest GdkRGB docs, including a description
of rowstride at:

 http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/gdk/gdk-gdkrgb.html

These docs are rebuilt from CVS nightly... the ones on
gtk.org should be mirroring from there shortly.
